Do I have to sign up to a monthly plan to be able to use your services?


No, we did not forget about the non-regular users, we have a one-off services website section.




How do I cancel my monthly plan?


There is a 3 month agreement on all our monthly plans, therefore a member can only cancel their subscription after 3 months starting from the first payment date. If you wish to leave us after the 3 month period, let us know by contacting us via our Live Chat Support page or email: info.melodiclink@gmail.com




Can I cancel my monthly plan at any time?


When you decide to join us, you are agreeing to a 3 month deal, therefore you are only able to cancel your subscription after 3 months starting from your first payment date.




Does Melodic Link only Mix & Master a specific type of genre?


Absolutely not, we Mix & Master any track in any genre.




When booking your Mixing & Mastering services, there is a time duration next to the service name, is that the time it will take for my track to be finalised?


No, the time next to the service name tells you how many hours your booking is worth. Example, Mix & Master is equivalent to 3 hours, meaning if you booked one at 12:00 your slot duration would be from 12:00 - 15:00. This does not mean your song would be Mixed and Mastered by 15:00, it's simply a timestamp to help us stay organised and avoid lots of bookings in one day. Once you book a slot no one else can book the same hours. Make sure you're in there quick before the day gets fully booked, but don't worry about it too much as there is a whole calendar and plenty time slots to book from.




How long does it take for my song to get Mixed and Mastered?


Once we receive your files, we aim to finalise your track within 2 to 5 working days depending on how many bookings we have on our waiting list.




I paid for my monthly plan, but I didn't get what I was entitled to, due to a fully booked calendar, do I get my money back from that month?


Don't worry, this should not happen as the calendar you see represents one mixing engineer. If the engineer starts to get a lot of bookings, we'll make an extra mixing engineer available on the calendar to choose from. We are constantly looking for talented mixing engineers to join the team therefore we'll always have enough engineers to accomodate all bookings made. If we fail to deliver we'll refund you right away, contact us.




How long does it take for my song to get Mastered?


If your song is already Mixed and you've submitted it to be Mastered, you'll receive it back within 1 to 3 working days. In most cases you'll receive it on the same day.




How will I know when my song has been Mixed & Mastered?


Once we finalise your track we'll send you an email to let you know, we'll also attach the song to the email so you can download it right away. When booking you will also be asked to enter your phone number so that we can text you to let you know once your song has been finalised, you'll still receive an email regardless.




What can I send to be Mixed & Mastered?


Songs, beats, acappella/voice overs or any other type of Audio.




Can I get a refund?


If you feel we've failed to deliver what we have promised, please contact us via our Live Chat Support (Monthly subscription members only). One-Off Service customers can email us at info.melodiclink@gmail.com We will give out refunds if we feel the customer has a valid complaint.




Where do I use my unlimited discount code offered in my monthly plan?


When purchasing a monthly plan from us, you get a unique discount code which you can use unlimited times. This comes in very handy once you've used up all your monthly sessions, as you're still able to use our services from our one-off services page at a discounted price using your unique code. The discount code can also be shared with family and friends. Please note, If you decide to cancel your monthly plan, your discount code will also be deactivated. The discount percentage varies depending on which monthly plan you decide to go ahead with. - Basic Plan (5%) - Advanced Plan (10%) - Pro Plan (20%)




How can I change my password?


Currently the quickest way you can change your password is by logging out, then click log in, once the log in page pops up, click on 'Forgot password'. A 'create new password' page will show up, enter your email. Create a new password by clicking the link sent to your email. How can I disable email notifications?


We know that email notifications can be inconvenient if you don't wish to receive them. We made it easy to manage which emails you would like to receive, these can be adjusted from your profile settings.

How long does it take for my song to get Mixed and Mastered?

What is Mastering?


Mastering is usually the final step before your song is complete and ready to be released. The purpose of mastering is to balance sonic elements of a stereo mix and optimize playback across all systems and media formats. Traditionally, mastering is done using tools like equalization, compression, limiting and stereo enhancement.




Why should I Master my songs?


Audio Mastering is the process of preparing music for distribution and broadcast, The goal of mastering is to ensure that your audio will sound the best it can on all platforms. Music has never been consumed on more formats and devices than today, therefore you'll need to Master your song for it to sound just like you intended it to be.




How do I get a WAV version of my Mastered track?


When you send us your tracks to be Mixed & Mastered, you’ll always receive a high quality MP3 in return by default. If you wish to receive a WAV file or both WAV & MP3, specify it by using the 'Specific Requirements' box when uploading your tracks. If we've already Mastered your track and you forgot to request a WAV version when booking, you can still request it via our ' Live Chat Support' (Monthly subscription members only). If you happen to be a One-Off Service customer, then email us at info.melodiclink@gmail.com

What is the Difference Between Mixing and Mastering?

What is Mixing?


Mixing is the process of blending all the individual tracks in a recording to create a version of the song that sounds as good as possible – the “mix”. The process can include: Balancing the levels of the tracks that have been recorded. Fine-tuning the sound of each instrument or voice using equalisation (EQ) plus adding effects such as reverb, delays, Auto-Tune, filters and more.




What is the Difference Between Mixing and Mastering?

Use the 'Specific Requirements' box when uploading your files, to tell the mixing engineer everything you want him to know, you can also use this box to send links to other songs as references. This will help the Mixing Engineer get an idea of your style of sound.

Profile

I've logged in, where is my profile?


Every member has their own personal menu; you can access yours by clicking your member's avatar (Top right corner of any page), then click on profile from the drop-down menu. Now you should be able to view and edit your profile.




I've created my profile, why can't I post anything?


When a new member creates a profile, their information is reviewed before they can start posting onto our feed. This usually takes less than 24 hours. A 'writer' label will appear on your profile next to your name to let you know that you can start posting. The label represents your permission to post, violating our terms will result in losing the label meaning you lose your permission to continue posting until further notice. If it has taken longer than 24 hours for us to review your account and you're still not able to create a post, email us at info.melodiclink@gmail.com




Some members are labelled as Admins and majority are labelled as Writers, what is the difference between them?


When looking through different profile accounts, you will realise that every profile has a label, either Admin or Writer. - Admin Profile: belongs to a person who has a role within our site, meaning they work with us and have been part of our team for a significant amount of time. - Writer Profile: belongs to a regular user. The purpose of this label is to let the profile owner know their new profile has been reviewed by one of our team members, therefore permissions have been granted to this profile, such as being able to post onto our feed. - Profile with no label: these profiles have not been reviewed by a member of our team yet, meaning they still won't have the permission to post onto our feed. This could also mean a profile has been suspended from posting onto our feed for violating our community guidelines. Please note, that these labels can be removed from your profile with immediate effect when violating our community guidelines such as posting inappropriate content.




How can I get my posts on the 'Featured' page?


6 different posts are picked everyday to be displayed on our 'Featured' page. This page is seen by all members of the site, if your post gets featured it increases your engagement and visibility. Only high quality posts with pictures get featured. If you want to increase your chances of getting featured make sure to only post high quality content with pictures/videos. You should also keep your post title nice and short, long texts should go on your post description/caption (underneath your post title). How can I disable email notifications?

Profile Verification

What does it mean to be verified?


If you see a little blue or grey checkmark next to a member's name on their profile, means that the account is officially verified by Melodic Link. Only admins, highly known public figures, brands and businesses are given the verified badge. Profiles with the verified badge are authentic. Verified accounts also get access to our Live Chat Support without having to pay for a monthly plan.





Promote

How can I promote my content using this platform?


All members are free to use our feed to their advantage. Post as much as you can to get in front of your competition. If you want to promote on a higher level, you can use our promotion services.




What are the advantages of using our promotion services?


Promote a post to increase engagement and visibility. We boost your promoted content by adding your post to our Featured page, this enables your content to be shown to all members of the site even if they don't follow you. We also pin your post to the top of our main Feed so that your content is shown first before any other regular post from other members. Promotion campaign duration: 2 days We allow any type of content to be promoted as long as it follows our community guidelines. Reasons why you should promote your content: - To increase engagement and visibility - To increase sales - to promote your new release - To make other members aware of your brand - To become popular & known within our site - To increase your followers - To attract connections & networking opportunities - To build your reputation. - To increase your chances of being a verified member on our site (other requirements also apply)
